Give me more sugar!

By
March 13th, 2014

As if the line up for Milk and Sugar wasn’t already amazing enough, unbelievably, we are adding more stand up comedy to the mix!!

Added to the bill we have Joe Charman, a ‘New Comedian of the Year’ finalist of 2013, who likes to make his comedy with loop pedals.

Plus, we have Jet Vevers, who runs a regular comedy night in Soho making an appearance. Jet will not only be performing his comedy set, but I’ve also managed to rope him into helping me MC the evening… result!

Last but not least, we have the up and coming Josh Diner who seems to going down a storm in the London venues since he came on the scene.

All in all, it’s set to be a fantastic evening! Hope to see you there!

ACTS ANNOUNCED FOR MILK AND SUGAR EVENT

A number of talented artists have been confirmed for the Milk and Sugar charity event later this month.

The event, which will take place at Bush Hall on the 25th March 2014, is set to be a fantastic evening of entertainment with the current line up we have in store.

The night will feature performances from the unique Josephine and The Artizans, a 10 piece classical hip hop crossover band and 85th Decibel, a band that combines rap, soulful lyrics and an edgy baseline.

Also on the musical line up, we have solo artist Todd Dorigo, a singer/songwriter from Manchester who brings us a new spin on the classic rock and roll sound. Kimberley Newell, a fantastic lyricist with a voice that is deliciously easy on the ear and the soulful Jonny Knowles who conjures up songs with a real acoustic blues and rock and roll feel.

For more information about each of the musicians CLICK HERE!

As the organiser of the event, it goes without saying that I, myself will put in a bit of performance, but I will not be performing alone. Ruth Davies Knowles, a talented actress that I have known since we were both wee lasses, will be performing a sketch alongside me.

We also have fellow actor Zoltan Adorjan, performing a comedic theatre piece from his repetoire.

Plus we’ll be treated to performances from Sean Downie, a Stand Up Comic from New Zealand, and intelligent humour from the fabulous Stand Up Matt Randle.

For more information about each comic artist CLICK HERE!

Milk and Sugar

Milk and Sugar

Following on from the event I organised in New York last year, I am set to organise another evening of entertainment called Milk and Sugar.

Milk and Sugar will be a British tea party themed affair but with the addition of alcoholic beverages!!

The evening will feature performances from a variety of musicians, actors, and stand up comedians. I already have a handful of talented performers signed up and I’m in the process of securing a few more acts.

The aim of the evening is to raise money for Age UK.

Further details to be announced shortly.

Let’s catch up!!!

By
March 1st, 2014

It’s been a long time. I haven’t posted to you in yeeears! I must admit, I’ve been slack. I’ve been offline and we haven’t spoken for aaaages. There’s so much to tell you but I’ll just fill you in on the best bits…

2012 was a bit of weird year for me really and to be honest, I was glad when it was over but there were some really good bits I have to mention! Namely, performing my own work at various events for Actors Platform, Emerald Vibes and Theatrical Niche. It was great to see the audience reaction to my writing. I felt pretty pleased with the result!

So, what happened in 2013? In 2013, I did some cool stuff. Highlight was going to the US for 3 months. I saw the Grand Canyon which took my breath away plus I put on an event in New York to raise money for Oxfam. Later in the year, I wrote a script, put a team together and filmed some short sketches for a company called Mountain Associates. The sketches will shortly be featured on YouTube. More information to follow on that very soon.

I feel really positive about what 2014 will bring. I’ll make sure I keep you up-to-date with all my news this time!!

Promise!!

Mannequin at Century Club

After the recent successful performance of Mannequin at London’s cabaret venue Volupté, Elea and Isla have been asked to perform the sketch again.

The pair premiered the piece together in June and now the duo are set to tread the boards once more, this time at The Century Club, a private member’s club in Soho.

Elea is currently working with Isla to produce a full length theatrical sketch show.

The performance at The Century Club will be on Monday 19th September at 8pm.

Mannequin at Volupté

Mannequin at Volupté

Elea, together with Isla Johns, performed Mannequin at London’s “trendiest little supper club” Volupté.

Mannequin, a short script penned by Elea, is a comedy sketch about two strangers that encounter a mannequin at a bus stop. Elea collaborated with fellow actress and long term buddy Isla Johns to develop the characters for performance.

The girls took the sketch to Volupté, London’s cabaret venue, for it’s premiere on the 13th June 2011.
